Having graduated with a 2:1 in English and Spanish Law (LLB) from the University of Kent, Canterbury, Emily joined De Pinna in 2014. She now aims to qualify firstly as a Notary Public in 2018 and then as a multi-lingual Scrivener Notary by the end of 2020.
Emily is an excellent communicator, with valuable experience gained on her Erasmus year spent studying law at the Universidad de Castilla La Mancha in Toledo, Spain. Experience there and at De Pinna enables her to help clients to quickly pre-empt, clarify and address any technical and practical issues that can arise when dealing with documents that are to be used outside the UK.
Outside of work, Emily’s interests include baking, crafts and fundraising. She has raised over £5,000 for the Type One Diabetes charity JDRF by running the Brighton Half Marathon, taking part in a mud run, organising a fundraising day and holding an afternoon tea. In her role as Chair of the Kent Law Campaign Student Group 2013/14 she led a team of 11 students to raise over £16,000 in one academic year towards the construction of The Wigoder Building at the University’s Canterbury campus, home to the award-winning law clinic and new mooting chamber.
Emily organised a team from De Pinna to complete the 10K London Legal Walk on 22 May 2017, raising money to fund free legal advice for people in need in London. Please help us raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust here >>
